Thanks. I believe that is what I will have to do. It's either that or
tell them to just deal with it (-:

Depending on what you need, I would create a report on ReportCreator and
then add a button to your form to Print this report. Hopefully the
Query on the report is easy like 'Ticket ID' = $Ticket Id$ (that they
would only need to create a report of the record they are looking at).
I use this all the time and I love it....

A colleague put together something like that at a previous employers -
crystal reports on a PC with some clever perl scripts that automated
report generation and would mail it through to the requester.

The issue of reporting has obviously never been a priority on the WUT.

Dave

ps - Graham - if you're looking at the list today, that reports server
you put together was a most excellent piece of coding!

I really hate to hear that. Our guys have to print a copy of the ticket
for procedural reasons, but maybe I can find a way around it by
generating a report then printing it.
I wonder what the problem is and why they have never corrected it.

This seems to describe the general way printing happens on the WUT.

Have tried it on versions from 5.1.2 onwards, and its generally been
close to useless. It either gives inconsisten results, or prints off a
garbled mess.

Maybe its much improved on v7.5?

Dave

Has anyone out there encountered a problem where when printing a form
the WUT (using Ctrl+P), they get a blank sheet. You can attempt to print
again and it will come out fine most of the time. Sometimes you have to
do it two or three times. It appears to very sporadic and random in
nature.
