Redundancy is immediate, disaster recovery is large-scale. For example, if a hard drive fails on your Remedy server, redundancy (failover) kicks in and ensures service is not interrupted. On the other hand, if a hurricane comes through and destroys your entire data center, that's when you execute your disaster recovery plan.
Disaster recovery entails things like having servers in different geographic locations, offsite storage of backup media, long-term storage of backup media, etc. -----Original Message----- From: Action Request System discussion list(ARSList) [mailto:arsl...@arslist.org] On Behalf Of Salma Begum Sent: Thursday, February 05, 2009 10:56 PM To: arslist@ARSLIST.ORG Subject: Re: Setting up Remedy Redundancy Server Dear All, Thnaks you All.
