There is no magic number that works based on the number of users you have. You will need to study log files and look for patterns that would point to bottlenecks - all of which I am sure was taught in PT&T. I believe there are some log file analyzers out there you could take advantage of. >From what you have listed I would think you would have a sufficient balance of threads. But then again, knowing nothing about the size of your ARS server or database as well what type of application you are running would make it difficult to give you any better indication.
Some things to consider: Are your users complaining? Is your ARS server running low on memory? Is your database running slow?
