I seem to remember something in the licensing agreement about removing unlicensed BMC products from your servers. Read your license agreement. You may find, as with other software vendors, that your use of the software is dependant upon maintaining a maintenance/support contract with the vendor. I remember that we had to do some paperwork with BMC when we dropped a single product from our ITSM application suite and ensure that product was removed from the servers. I do know that BMC requires that all of there products under a support contract not reside with non-supported products.

We've considered the implications of this as far tech support calls, licensing and new software releases. Was wondering if anyone has experience with dropping support and what other issues might have come up besides the above mentioned items. Thank you in advance.
