Did you restart the service after changing the logon details?  Make sure you're 
accessing the file using an UNC path 
(\\server\share\file<file:///\\server\share\file>).  Enable logon auditing on 
the server sharing the file and see if it's failing for any reason?

thanks for your response,

i can access the file localy and i grant full control access to the shared 
folder and to the file and tried to map the folder as network drive to be like 
local but still not working

i changed the service log on with user exist in the twos servers with the same 
password and it's not working too

ARS usually runs under the local system account on Windows - this account 
probably does not have permissions to access the shared drive.  You may need to 
set ARS to run as a specific user (via the services control panel entry for the 
service) if you cannot access the file locally on the server.

Hi,
i face error "File pointer is NULL or not a valid file pointer (ARERR 295)" 
when i use $PROCESS$ PERFORM-ACTION-ADD-ATTACHMENT 1000000253 <Shared File 
Path> in a filter when try to attach a file from shared path even if i map it 
as a network drive.
any ideas
