Hi, The users in a customer's Remedy 7.5 system have their login id set to their Active Directory shortnames.
This is working well with AREALDAP with no aliasing being required. However, the customer would like to be able to let the users enter their email (or principal name in AD speak) into the UserTool /without/ changing the Remedy login ID. (Because of the knock on effects of existing user id references in incidents, approvals etc) After reading the 7.5 integration guide and KM11373 it would appear that although it would be possible to map from a login id to an AD/orother ID it isn't possible for Remedy to find a user on anything other than the Remedy Login ID, irrespective of AREA auth being enabled. Is that correct? Probably a basic question,but you never know what's buried out there :) Any feedback is greatly welcomed.
