A magic combination would be nice.  Even on a pure custom system I have to 
break up the def by object type (where I still can export the entire server at 
once with the Admin tool).

Every Java developer tends to have a different opinion of how best to optimize 
a VM, what garbage collector to use, etc. Here at JSS, we develop with the 
"bulk standard" deployment, because that's what the majority will use.
