Hi McAfee product called Vulnerability Manager (Formerly called McAfee Foundstone). Is there an existing API between McAfee Vulnerability Manager and REMEDY using the SNMP trap information from MVM?
I have a client that would like the following to happen: MVM will scan a host for vulnerabilities using SNMP, it will create a trap and log a ticket to REMEDY. Once the ticket has been closed this will provide information back and MVM will re-scan the system. What am I looking at here? Is the SNMP function REMEDY uses only to monitor something on the REMEDY server, or can this be used in conjunction with the MVM software? It was said that REMEDY can integrate with McAfee Vulnerability Manager, however I could not find anything on Google other than the auto email notification that Vulnerability Manager will mail on a SNMP trap.
