Hi,

A while ago we have installed Remedy ARS 7.5 on our test LINUX platform (Based
on Oracle 11)... Our productive environment is still running on HP-UX and still
have the ARS 7.0.1 version installed (Based on Oracle 9).

In order to do some testing, we have decided to do a full import of the
productive data (ARS 7.0.1/Oracle 9) to our test environment (ARS 7.5/Oracle
11). Everything want pretty fine except the fact that I cannot start the ARS
application anymore on the test server because I get :

Action Request System(R) Server Version 7.5.00 Patch 004 201002051027
(c) Copyright 1991-2009 BMC Software, Inc.

390600 : The database is not the expected version (may need to run upgrade
program) (ARERR 36)

390600 : AR System server terminated -- fatal error encountered (ARNOTE 21)

So looking on the details I get the wrong DBversion

SQL> select dbVersion from control;

DBVERSION
----------
        22

SQL>

So I guess this is the reference to the productive version..

How can I fix that ?

Is there no other way than running back the installation into a upgrade mode ?

Thanks
Regards
