NO This is not an easy question! Having a web only interface means that all of the headaches of supporting clients (possibly multiple versions) in an ever changing environment go away. But from a User perspective, the WUT was always preferred.
That said, I'd have to say NO. The web interface is getting better, and the technologies behind it are improving. I think we'll be OK without the client.
