Mark: You might want to look at picking up a copy of ARInside to show you workflow associated with various controls on forms. It can answer a lot of these questions for you.
If you've purchased the BMC reporting tool Analytics, I believe you'll need to customize your Business Objects universe in order to see the new Reported Source value(s) and have them available for reporting. I've never seen Reported Source on the Change form - apparently no one cares what the source of CRQs is.
