HI David,

It looks like an issue with the value being passed corresponding to the
"AR System Server Name Alias" parameter on the "BMC Remedy AR System User
Inputs" Panel. Please make sure that AR server name being passed is same as
what you used, to install the older version of ITSM.

Could you please send me the
"BMCRemedyITSMSuiteInstalledConfiguration.xml" which exists under ITSM home
directory. In your case this XML should exist under
"/opt/bmc/BMCRemedyITSMSuite" directory and tell me the value being passed
corresponding to the "AR System Server Name Alias" parameter?

I will tell you how to proceed further, once I have both the above
things.

Regards,

Ripu Daman Bhadoria

Subject: Issues on ITSM 7.6.04 SP4

Hi,

we are trying to upgrade ARServer, Atrium Core and ITSM 7.6.04 SP4.

In particular we are making the following steps:
ARSever 7.6.04 SP3 - > SP4
 Atrium 7.6.04 SP2 - > SP4
 ITSM7.6.04 SP3 - > SP4

ARServer SP4 upgrading ok, Atrium SP4 ok but when restart the server, the log
rows filler these lines:
"
log4j: WARN Continuable parsing error 5 and column 99
log4j: WARN Document root element “log4j: configuration”, must match DOCTYPE
root “null”.
log4j: WARN Continuable parsing error 5 and column 99
log4j: WARN Document is invalid: not grammar found.
"

In adding trying to upgrade ITSM SP4 after Atrium Core SP4, the installer it is
throwing the message in attached:
"Another instance of BMC Remedy ITSM Suite has been detected on ...."
But we are not changing the install location.

Any ideas?

Best Regard
David
