We had one customer report performance problems with IE9 and latest Flash

(Although internally- we did have better numbers on a reasonably powerful
laptop and didn’t observe the delay)

We did file an issue with Flash; without luck.

Version: Adobe Flash Player 11.3 - Bug 3341161.
https://bugbase.adobe.com/index.cfm?event=bug&id=3341161

Yes, other options could be

Downgrade flash to 10.3/10.X version

or disable flash or use Firefox or any other versions than IE9.

Disabling flash- there is bug in 7604 SP2 to SP4 on IE. The contents in the
count panel don't show up in IE only. Please refer to attached image. This
stands resolved but is not yet part of any of the releases SP on 7604.

I will work with BMC support to generate a hotfix here and ask them to make it
available

For now the defect id for reference:

SW00441356: Entry status "Counts" panel disappears on the Incident/Change
consoles in IE on setting the flash UI rendering to false.

Regards,

Ravi

I can confirm that IE9 is causing issues for us as well, both in things not
loading well and performance problems.

Thanks,

We've seen this as well but only experience it when we use IE9 as the browser.
We are doing some preliminary testing right now around disabling the Shockwave
Flash Object as well.

Subject: [EXTERNAL] Incident Template Loading Slowly

Hi,

We are using 7.6.04 sp2 and SQL 2008 on a virtual machines. We have a seperate
DB, APP and Web server.

The client is a Windows 7 with IE 9. Window XP with IE 8 doesn't hav any
problem.

The problem we are having:

When creating an Incident Ticket from a template (we have 80 templates) the
template list takes a very long time to come up. After selecting a template it
takes another long time to load the fields.

We found that when we disable the Shockwave Flash Object the system is
extremely fast and the templates load very fast.

The BMC desk had us bring our client up in safe mode with networking and said
if it was fast then it was something wrong with the client probably. It was
fast in this mode.

Anyway, Wondering if anyone has run into this issue.

Thanks

Steve Mcc
