It'll trigger an error when you try to relate an asset and a people if the people's record has its reconciliation id at 0.
"used by" relationship type if memory serves?

Is there a reason for having the BMC_Person CI’s other than for software license management?

If this is the only reason then it would be logical to disable this as people records and BMC_Person records always go out of sync in my experience.

I tried using the Initiate CI Sync and it did not work for me. That is why I ended up having to work on an escalation.

Click "Initiate CI Sync" on the form CTM:PeopleSyncConsole. This sets a trigger on all CTM:People records that don't have a Recon ID yet. Then there's an escalation that fires every 25 minutes to create the missing BMC_Person records. (The actual update is done via the same workflow that Jesus's suggestion uses, but you don't have to do a modify all on 40K records. The people sync console updates them with a direct SQL statement and skips the ones that have already been sync'd.)

Kathy,

there is a bug in the workflow that sends them to BMC_Person, especially if you are creating them through an import process or and interface. The way I fix them is save the CTM:People record for the person in question with a status of Offline, save, then back to Enable, save. This causes the record to get sent to BMC_Person. If it does not work, check your Reconcilation job for BMC.Sandbox and see if that is running.  To do this in bulk, you would have to modify all in chunks or create an escalation to set them to Offline, then another to Enable. There are many ways to skin a cat. As far as the underlying bug is concerned, there’s probably a hot fix somewhere for it.

Hi,

How do I get users from CTM:People into the BMC_Person class?

We have over 40,000 users in CTM:People, however they are not in BMC_Person.

We need to have the 40,000 in BMC_Person.
