Prathap,

Very short answer, this is the mode that needs to be enabled when developing
or migrating code. So usually on the development server at almost all times
but NEVER on the production server EXCEPT when migrating code when the
users are offline.

This mode when enabled, immediately caches any changes to code, which means
that if there are end users connected, as in the production system, they
will experience delays on their interaction with the system every time a
developer makes any changes to the system. This is not much of a concern on
a development server as that is what that environment is meant for.

Subject: Significance of Development cache mode

Hi Experts,

Can you someone let me know the significance of "Development cache mode".

Does this have an effect on the application server performance ?

When this option needs to be enabled ?

How is this different from the normal mode ( dev cache mode = disabled) ?

Regards

PB
