Lisa, quite right you are about the DMT not having a spreadsheet for Asset! Thanks for pointing that out. I must have been remembering about Incidents and Change but when I actually looked at DMT 7.6.4 you can only import asset relations, work logs and things like that. Asset (or CI) import is not there!
So Salvo, I'd amend my suggestion to use the Atrium Integrator (AI) tool, which you can access on the Atrium Core Console. If you setup your CSV files as data sources (one per file) and the CMDB as another, you can use the create new job wizard to quickly build an AI job that will get the job done. A couple suggestions, you should have only one type of CI/Asset per CSV file, so you can map it to the correct CMDB class. Also, you should understand your CSV data very well to know what columns you will use for attributes like Name and Short Description, how you will set categorization and so forth. You can hard-code values (for categorization for example) if the CSV doesn't have a field that will work. I'd also suggest you read the "Data Modeling Guide" PDF for 7.6.4 to know what classes are intended for which purpose in the CMDB data model. Pascale, no worries about the confusion :) Thanks, Davin _______________________________________________________________________________ UNSUBSCRIBE or access ARSlist Archives at www.arslist.org "Where the Answers Are, and have been for 20 years"
