Hi, Take a look at the "Self Approval" rules and the functions that are available surrounding this. Based on this functionality you can determine from the attributes of the user who can and cannot approve a request (although you have to configure this):
Excerpt: The Auto Approval and Self Approval rule types use different methods to determine whether the requester has sufficient authority to approve his or her own request. The Get Authority and Get Authority Self rules gather data to be used by the Self Approval rule. The Approval Engine is a complex monster but you can achieve your requirement from the above although it is not configured "OOB". That is going to take some work. You will have to modify the 3-way join form to include the CRQ Coordinator field and then fire a filter that errors if the approver is the coordinator.
