I agree that it is much easier and less techincal debt to add Status Reasons that new Status. You will have to add it to one form called SYS:StatusReason Menu Items and probably on the AST:Attributes form as well. I am not sure if you have to add it to BMC.CORE:BMC_BaseElement through the Atrium Console, Class Manager, but I would bet you do to make sure everything is in synch. Our practice is to add status reasons, but never to add a new status.
