Hi Frederic, thanks for the quick response. Is it ok that metadata never be updated? Suppose that you are using maven-archetype-plugin 2.0, you won't never notice that it is available 2.1 when you use artifactory mirroring all repositories.
am i missing something?

Hi,

The checking of new version is done only for artifacts that have a SNAPSHOT revision.
For a release version, there are no invalid cache until delete.
The way to sync a remote repo after a change in a release is to use the API sync REST query that will verify the validity of all artifacts based on their lastModified and checksum values.

Hope it helps,
Fred.

Hi All!, i have two Artifactory configured: client and company
ones. The company's artifactory has a local repository where we
deploy our developments. The client's Artifactory has a remote
repository pointing out our local repository handling release and
    snapshot artifacts.
It seems that Client`s artifactory is not expiring remote
repository cache for downloading new plugin metadata. So, when we
deploy a new plugin Artifact it is not detected by client`s
    Artifactory.
The remote repo has configured in the following way:

    Retrieval Cache Period = 1
    Failed Retrieval Cache Period =1
    Missed Retrieval Cache Period= 1

It also doesn`t work even if y "zap" cache in the artifacts` view.
The only way i found to force updating a given plugin metadata was
deleting its metadata in the remote repo.

    Any idea?
    Thanks in advance
