Hi Mark,

yeah, I thought that at first, too.  In fact the "Proxy" field in the "Advanced 
Settings" page is a drop-down for you to choose one of a number of proxies 
you've configured.  The Username & Password on that tab are for the remote repo 
server.

To configure a new proxy, go to "top-level Admin tab -> Configuration / Proxies 
page" and click "New".  Our proxy uses NTLM auth so doesn't need an explicit 
username and password; but if yours needs one, this is where to put it.

The Artifactory doc at

http://www.jfrog.com/confluence/display/RTF/) is fairly helpful, but I often 
find I have to read over several not-quite-connected pages to really understand 
what's going on.  It's better to think of it as a book to read through, rather 
than a set of self-contained help pages.
