Can anyone shed any light on how "Delete Versions..." works?

We have Artifactory working for us with ivy, publishing our builds to it and
then retrieving them again for use in other builds etc. However, when
browsing through the web interface, the "Delete Versions..." dialog simply
displays "No Records Found", so we cannot easily delete a batch of unwanted
/ unused / old versions of our software without deleting them all
individually.

I had wondered whether I needed to create and publish a pom for each
artifact we publish. I have added the ivy task to create this into our build
scripts, and I believe it is now correctly created and published for one of
our libraries, but I still am not seeing anything in the "Delete
Versions..." dialog within Artifactory.
