Hi,
I am having problems running aRtsbuilder on Mdk-7.2
I cannot get it to start up from the graphical interface.
If I run it from an terminal (within X) I get what appear
to be normal start-up messages ending with:-
inserting a menu called '&Other' in the parent menu ''
PORT: menumaker ok
PORT: activatemenu
There is lots of disk thrashing after this but no menu!!!
Doing a ps -e
shows that artsbuilder is running three processes.
I checked the processes with KDE Sytem Guard and one of the artsbuilder
processes is doing something dynamic so it all appears to running there
is just no graphical interface.
I can run the aRts control applet and that is fine
I have checked that the sound server is running and that's ok.
I have an SBLive sound card and the driver for this is functioning
correctly. i.e I get sound and I can play mp3's etc
Can anyone help with this??!!
