Hi everyone,
I have just downloaded the last binary version of aRts which is distributed
with KDE 2.1 and I can't make it work! I definitely need your help. Let me
first describe my system:
-CPU celeron 566MHz mem 320 Mo
-soundcard: Avance Logic ALS4000
-4front technologies OSS driver which works fine: I still can play all the
sounds I want with non arts applications.
-Redhat Linux 6.2 with the corresponding KDE and aRts binaries installed
The funny part is that aRts worked just fine with the KDE 2.0.1 binaries.
Anytime I try to run artsd now I receive the following error message:
Error while initializing the sound driver:
unable to select 'oss' style audio I/O
If I try to run artsd -A, I get:
null No audio input/output
If you have any suggestion, they are welcome. Could you also tell me if you
think I could solve my problem by compiling the source file?
