Junior project manager with PMP certification will be needed




*Job Description:* Summary: The main function of a Project Manager is to
define requirements, plan, track, and manage projects in a demanding
environment. Job Responsibilities: Identify and estimate project resources,
schedule delivery, and task details. Budget for and manage project costs.
Manage business partner and supplier involvement throughout project. Manage
change, project deliverables, and project direction while adhering to
Caterpillar's standard project management methodology. Skills: Strong
verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills,
organizational, customer service and interpersonal skills. Basic ability to
work independently and manage one’s time as well as being a collaborative
team member.Proven experience with project management concepts, including
project charters, scheduling and planning projects within Primavera or
experience or training using tools to manage projects, such as Microsoft
Project or Excel. Proven ability to work with Enterprise-wide program
managers and project leads. Strong project leadership and
decision-makingBusiness planning/processes, accounting, and change
management acumen. Education/Experience: Training in project management or
project management related skills, such as Young & Clark and Associates or
Project Management Institute’s PMP certification. 5-6 years’ project
management experience required. Bachelor's degree or equivalent training
required.
*Additional Job Details:* Work with teams to formally document project
Scope, identify project resources, create project plan, estimate project
cost. Lead the team in documenting requirements. Ensure appropriate
signoffs for Scope, Requirements, Design and Testing. Meet with project
team regularly to obtain updates. Report out project status to stakeholders
regularly, including timeline, risks, issues, budget. Escalate issues
appropriately. Develop rollout plan, communication plan, risk mitigation
plans. Lead the team in documenting lessons learned. Requirements:
Bachelors degree, PMP Certification, 5-6 years experience with IT projects
(application, not infrastructure).
*Typical Day:* Most days will be starting with emails work through the 4
weekly stake holder updates. Project plan updates, bringing team together
as needed to escalate issue or resolve questions.
*Critical Technical Skills:*
Must have bachelor's degree in an IT background, 5-6 years experience,
Microsoft project or Primavera, advanced excel and word. Required PMP
certification or will have the certificate in the next few months
*Soft Skills Required:*
Self-starter, team player, excellent communication skills
