The band is definitely not from the area. Maybe they just liked the idea of
filming in Asbury Park. Tons of bands that have nothing to do with New
Jersey have shot videos, album covers and press photos around town. Last
year the Goo Goo Dolls did a major magazine spread outside the Wonder Bar...
Some of the stuff may have to do with the fact that Asbury Park really is
known around the world as a music city. There's not many cities known that
way. Personally, I think Asbury is even more unique because on the list of
cities known for music Asbury is the only one with under 20,000 residents.
Most of the cities on the list have half a million people or more in their
area. That's why Asbury's music history is so special. It's a small town
compared to the others yet it's got the history.
