I would love to see a
feasibility study done on the prospects of turning the casino into a
ferry port that can get commuters to NYC in less than an hour.
There was an attempt a number of years back by a boat captain from Belmar to create a ferry service to NYC from the Belmar Marina.  It did not succeed.  Based on my personal experience of six summers as a mate on the fishing boats out of Belmar, I can say with some authority that a ferry service from AP would not work.  Why?  Seasickness.  There is just too much open ocean to cover between AP and NYC and with this, a fairly regular chance that customers will not have a pleasant ride to and from work.
