While I regret the overwhelming amount of condo units for other
reasons, parking is sure to be a problem but I would rather deal
with that than have no need to provide parking. I think most of the
projects will have 1.5 cars per bedroom or unit. However, as we
know, most people have more than 1.5 cars. Also, for some reason
they peg the required parking to the number of bedrooms. This
creates a creative way of getting around it. For instance, I think
the Paramount projects will have no units larger than 2 bedrooms,
however, some units have the space (family room/den) which doesn;t
require a parking space but which most will convert to an extra
bedroom (and they are marketed as such). I think other projects do
the same thing.

Absolutely. While not a fan of Rudy for all his years, I have to
give him credit for that and you are right, crime is #1. I keep
calling in drug buys that I see.

Well, firstly I agree that we need strict code enforcement, meaning
that buildings should only be allowed to be used for their legal
occupancies, no exceptions. Secondly, local government and police
need to act together and address the problem of properties being
used for illegal activity. Certainly some property owners are not
aware. For instance I see dealing going on the porches where they do
not reside. There is an absentee landlord who doesn't know or
doesn't care. This can only be remdied by police vigilance. If the
criminals do live there, government has to help the owners evict the
people and if they own or the property owner doesn;t cooperate,
perhaps the property should be confiscated.

Of course many of us have been saying he exact same thing. Asbury
Partners has no intention of restoring these structures. I suspect
that they are waiting to flip them as things further improve. The
Casino is an ideal spot for the NJMHOF. I thought the same thing a
while back ago about ferry service and I suspect that it may be
possible in the future either here or in Long Branch. I had the same
vision of the powerplant. Okay, I'll say it but I know I'll take
heat for it, I envisioned "Hard Rock Cafe" there is NJMHOF goes in
Casino.
