<<I always wondered why there is such a "space" between city government and
the Board of Ed.>>

This is certainly a concern of mine as well. Prior to my running for
council, I had a wonderful two-hour conversation with BOE President, Rob
DiSanto about how the City Government and the School Board could work more
collaboratively together. We knocked around a number of ideas that I hope
we can pursue in the coming months. I also very recently had lunch with our
new Athletic Director and I am very excited about the ideas we shared for
upgrading our athletic facilities and increasing youth involvement in school
and city run recreation programs.

In the coming weeks I plan to lay out my goals for the next four years and
clearly articulate what exactly I am going to work towards. Certainly items
such as the ones mentioned above will be high on the list.

Peace, JWK

I always wondered why there is such a "space" between city government and
the Board of Ed.
Maybe just too many egos with big budgets?

There should be a link between the two, they are both equally important.
Let's hope that Mr. Keady's Rec-centric attitude creates that link.

Greg
