How many of the same criminals that are out on parole or just out are back in town? You've had some good people buy some of the multi-family homes and convert them back to single families, eliminating housing. Is anyone keeping track of how many multi-family units are being eliminated - how many rental units? The trick is to begin to clean-up the illegal apartments that remain. Almost a house by house Certificate of Occupancy inspection. Long Branch and Ocean I beleive have cross checked school addresses with CO's in some cases - proof of residency for school. The police have a good idea of the problem spots. They jsut have to continue having support to get the problems off the street and the county courts have to be tougher in keeping them away for a period.
