The area in front of ConHall is now under construction. The roads are
being modified.
Ocean Ave will curve to the west taking several feet off of Bradley
Park. Ocean Ave will no longer line up North and South of the Hall.
Both Sunset Ave and Fifth Ave are being narrowed. The north edge of
Bradley Park is being moved closer to the BC Hotel. The South edge of
Bradley Park is being moved closer to the Wonder Bar etc.
As a result, the traffic lanes will be smaller and the Park will no
longer be a square. With the new Rectangle shape (and curve) the
diagonal sidewalks will no longer be symetrical or even terminate at
the corners.
One of the most beautiful and historic areas of the City is being
damaged. The wide roadways are being narrowed. NARROWED in
anticipation of 3000+ condos.
And this is called progress. Just wait till you see the brushed
aluminum lighting fixtures.
