And let's not forget the success of the Jones Beach Theatre. I saw
many a concert there. While much bigger than our modest beach, we
have two great performance venues (CH & Paramount) and a multi-use
facility (Casino). All potential going to waste. They had to cancel
a concert in CH because Fishmonger won;t fix the violations. Can you
imagine what we could have if someone WANTED to develop the
waterfront? Ocean Ave could be lined with resturants and
entertainment venues filled with people. The new restaurants on
Cookman are beginning to create a critical mass. That is what is
needed NOW on the waterfront. Build it and the WILL come. Just count
the non-APers that are in our restaurants. AP could and should be a
regional destination for cuisine and entertainment. An f'ing no-
brainer. But with no brain or no balls this is what you get.
