Once again I will state my position:

I am against the use of eminent domain for "private gain". It was
allowed in both the NJ and US Constitutions for public use. If
government needs property for government purposes than eminent domain
is a tool. Once used, just and fair compensation must be tended to
the original owner. Just comp to me is, exactly what I have
elswhere. It should be incumbent upon the benfactor (government) to
relocate me and or my buildings to suitable and equal lands. If
these lands are less valuable then the lands I am on, then I should
recieve the difference in dollars. No where should a government look
to build a public building, owned and operated by the government in a
location of "maximum value". A court house or jail should never be
in a prime location. These buildings actually should be in depressed
locations, so that they would rehabilitate the depression by the
governmental building.

I would not allow, ever, eminent domain, for the gain of an entity
other than government. Redevelopers shoul dhave never been allowed
to access government and convince elected officials to use their
powers to eminent domain property for "private" companies. Kelo v.
New London was wrong, and it should be reversed. I expect it will be
reversed at the next case before it.

As for elected officials needing more tax revenue, and allowing that
need as a public use. That's like telling me to go to the all you
can eat buffet evey day and eat until I drop and that i wouldn't ever
have to concern myself with the health of my body.

I suspect the reason why government likes this option is because they
have no intention to roll back spending. It is easier for them to
tick off 25 households in an area like MTOTSA, Long Branch, where
they loose 25 - 40 votes at the next election, then it would be if
they raised the taxes of 14,000 registered voters 25%. Because they
would not get relected if they passed their spending habits along the
broad and established tax base that exists presently.

REMEDY: For the 11 th district, Vote for me for State Senate in
November 2007.

Vote only for those candidates that agree that spending needs to
drop. See it's very simple. Stop spending. Roll back waste and
eliminate corruption.

Otherwise we will be building out our coast and destroying the
delicate balance of of ocean front again. It took us many years to
get our waters clean. They are now threatened by over population.

All because eminent domain is being allowed in mass development
projects in the State.
