What I would like to know is why isn't the city making a survey of properties,
and cracking
down on those who allow their properties to decay and become strewn with
garbage.
Cat person down the streets home is horrible to look at, and it smells of cat
piss when you
walk by it.
The house next to mine isn't much better, and the trash from this property
constantly
blows into my yard, and I have to clean it up. Unfortunately, nobody is living
there at the
moment, and I don't know who owns this property, but if I don't see him/her
within the
next week, i'm going to file a complaint with City Hall.
Much of the redevelopment area is also strewn with trash. One of the worst is
the areas
behind the Stone Pony and former Golddigger. Sure, it's slated for renovation,
but I feel
that it needs to be cleaned up now, because if an area is filled with trash,
people are going
to throw trash there.
There's also something wrong with the mentality of many people here in AP when
it comes
to littering. The other day, I saw a guy discard a potatoe chip bag right in
from of my
home. I ran outside and said something, and he told me to go fuck myself. I
then started
to notice how many potato chip bags there are on my street, and i'm pretty sure
they come
from him? The liqour and beer bottles are a constant problem. There's nothing
like having
the first impression of someone coming to visit, only to have them confronted
with a mess
of litter, and i'm really sick of the bottles.
What is wrong with people in AP? I think the vast majority of us don't litter,
and care about
our city, but the ones that don't make it ugly for everyone, and unfortunately
i'm on the
landing strip for litter.
AP really needs to take a stance on this.
