I was just thinking about my prior litter comment, and it made me realize one of the reasons why i'm such a bicycle advocate. Maybe many people don't notice the things I see because they see the world from inside their cars. They are given a framed and limited view of the world. If you drive down a street in a car, and then ride (or walk) you bicycle down that same street, you'll see an entirely different thing, without constraints. When I used to live in Allenhurst, one of my favorite bike rides was going thru Ocean Grove on Sunday mornings and evenings. You could see, hear and smell the world around you. You could hear the music coming from inside peoples homes, you could smell yummy breakfasts being cooked, and you could see the whole of the world around you, without the frame.
