If that's the case, isn't it sad that events such as this weekend are the only things that are bringing new and large crowds into AP? Everytime there's a sold out show at Convention Hall or other well attended musical event, it's good for the whole city. People spend money here. Someday, maybe they'll even come here and take a look around and like what they are seeing. To me, it's a no-brainer when it comes to realizing the potential of what could be in AP. AP is probably the only city left that could create and sustain a music driven buzz. We have some cool venues. It's easy to get here both by driving and public transport. Sadly, the "plan" would make AP more real estate and retail centric. I honestly don't think that's where our future lives. There's all ready too many retail choices that are successful in other places. It's always going to be hard to drive home buyers to AP because of fear of the city. Even if people move here, that winds up being a finite number. Entertainment brings people from all over. Even the tiny little Pt. Pleasant boardwalk uses entertainment to drive people there. It's packed every nice spring and summer day. --- In AsburyPark@yahoogroups.com, "wernerapnj" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > --- In AsburyPark@yahoogroups.com, "Hinge" <hinge98@> wrote: > ... > > Asbury still retains the potential to capitalize on it's heritage as > a music city.
