I truly  believe that The News is the problem.
There's too much of it spinning  things, and way too many people buying into

Our schools should be teaching Media Literacy as a complement to  Critical 
Thinking Skills.  (Not an easy task I know; since our schools are  burdened

being policemen, social workers, psychologists -- all overwhelming  for those 
who in addition SHOULD be experts in their own subject matter).
