you cant even compare this redevelopment to the last failed one of 
the eighties. people are actually moving in to these new homes. the 
boardwalk is once again thriving in the summer, work is being done 
on convention hall, paramount theater, and the casino. there is also 
all new infrastructure, new roads, and new lighting.
i have been a resident of asbury park for close to fifty years (all 
my life)and this is the first time in over thirty years that it 
feels that we are finally moving in the right direction.
