He absolutely should return the money. Also, I read somewhere where somebody stated that Geibel was committed to Asbury Park. Maybe that comment was from him directly. Either way, his insensitivity to our community is completely evident by his actions. He just doesn't get that leaving a partially constructed building on the site of C-8 does nothing but slap the community in the face. All the rhetoric about finding a way to move ahead with the project is BS. In my opinion, it's not going to happen. And once again, we'll face summer of 08 accepting a marginal amount of work as progress. We now have an ocean front area filled with shut down business's, emptied apts and acres of unrealized potential. And with the failure of Metro, we're now back to a depressingly blank slate and yet another year of a sad looking area. Meanwhile, Pt. Pleasant will flourish because they had the insight to keep their boardwalk an entertainment area and not give it away to condo developers. Wake Up Asbury Park.
