If we are not allowed to make right turns on red lights on several streets in Asbury Park, then why are these red light cycles so extremely long? I have often been the only car in the intersection waiting for the green light. Isn't this a terrible waste of gasoline when the nation is trying to go green? Also, consider the productivity lost by the people waiting so long. What is wrong with a) shortening the light cycle and b) having blinking lights on off hours?
