ReVision Theatre ReThinking Theatre
Hi Everybody, My name is Tom Morrissey and along with my associats, David Leidholdt and Stephen Bishop seely we have just moved to Asbury Park with purpose of starting a professional regional theatre here. We ran a company in NY (The Genesius Theatre Guild) for 12 years with many succesful productions moving on to commercial runs. Our new company, the ReVision Theatre, will be dedicated to producing invigorating theatre with a fresh new perspective reaching the diverse community of Asbury Park and Monmouth County. ReVision Theatre will produce reinventions of classics, overlooked or forgotten work in a new way, and new work with a fresh voice. The company will serve as a home for local artists and writers. ReVision Theatre will begin offering children and adult theatre classes beginning March 2008 with future workshops, concerts and mainstage productions to follow. We are very excited to start a professional theatre company in Asbury Park and want to include you and have you be a part of its founding. We have scheduled an informal ReVision Theatre meeting for Sunday January 13 at 4:00pm. We'll meet at our house, 1024 2nd Avenue between Comstock & Langford in Asbury Park. We hope you can attend At this meeting we'll be able to tell you more about our theatre and our plans. We'd also like to find out more about you. What your interests are, and if you'd like to get involved and participate with us we can talk about that too. There are lots of ways to get involved - on stage, back stage, working on a committee, planning events and many other things as well. All of it will be a lot of fun and a great way to socialize with friends and to meet and make new ones too. PLEASE feel free to pass along our info and to invite as many friends as you like to our meeting on Sunday January 13. We'll provide some snacks and beverages so let us know if you can attend so we know how many to plan for.
