OK Thanks. Thought maybe I missed something during my time here. In a message dated 1/25/2008 8:00:50 A.M. Werner, how far back was that? ================================================================
Between its founding in 1871 and 1900 the City evolved into a premiere resort of the Country. Primarily through the vision and investment of Founder James Bradley. After 1902 Bradley's role was diminished by his sale of the beachfront and all its facilities to the City. The City in turn built all new facilities elevating Asbury Park to the most modern resort of the time. That lasted until the Depression (1930) with the construction of the current ConHall/Casino/ etc. But the City came under investigation for questionable financial dealings and huge debt. (Followed by WW2, the baby-boomer years, 1970s urban renewal, etc.) Those were the 2 most successful periods of time. **************Biggest Grammy Award surprises of all time on AOL Music.
