NOW, what a difference a day makes! Was told, they put a torch to the pipes
and unfroze them, in one day, it's a miracle.
BTW, Hazel directs all calls like this to the relocation officer, Eve
Silva who really can't help me because as she said, this is a "PRIVATE DEAL."
My old LL told us the city was behind the eminent domain issue while he got a
PRIVATE DEAL with Asbury Partners in November o7.
Now AP told me the old LL was the cause of my water and heat being cut
off. And I guess I never would have made an issue of it if I had not got what
I preceived to be a suttle threat...i.e.,Senior Citizen's building, and then
finding the water gone when I went to water my flowers.
Oh yes, the heat will be back on by Tue. They suspected I was not
sleeping there because of my brother, now I suspect they wanted to save money
on the water and heat. But my rent is paid on time and my things are still
there, and my flowers needed water. Besides, I had all good intensions of
living there again, once I got my brother situated.
So for me, the only problem was moving once I found a place around the
time my lease is up, on 5/31. Still praing they reopen the building instead of
putting up a parking lot. Yet I thought they could wait for me even though they
did tell me how expensive it is to keep a building open for just "one person,"
a safety issue first and foremost, for them, really. But I have no power to do
anything else.
But when there was no water for my flowers, I finally put 2 & 2 together.
I was just threatened. I couldn't believe I had been sitting across the table
from the very people who evicted the Senior. They seems so accomodating and
nice...at First. I thought they understood that my Mom's estate and the
violations on the house and getting guardianship of my brother took a lot of
physical and emotional turmoil on me on top of getting pnumonia 3 xs since June
07 and I'm still kinda weak while pushing 60 years old myself. Guess not!
But I thank you all once again so very much, you gave me a little more
breathing room for the moment. still need a place, so keep looking, lol
