How to resolve the shipping container issues:
Rethink them - either admit they are permanent or just build a real
structure. doodles have been done for bathrooms in the past - so I
heard.
Elimintate them. How? Some of the shops on the boardwalk simply take
up more space then they need. They don't utilize space wisely.
They need to cut out the 10x12 or or whatever size spaces out of some
of the store fronts. Exmaples would be the Shades store going in on
First ave. Space could be taken from Style rocket - creating a
smaller unit with BW frontage and still gving the larger unit enough
space to work with. Interesting to look at the units in CH -
all "smaller" spaces as part of larger space behind it.
Malls do the same thing today - recongizing the EXTERIOR of the
building has retail value as does what is behind it and inside it.
Can you fit additional units in the 5th ave Pav? Yes.
Don't forget - the Casino has yet to be done, as has the rest of
the "zone" - Ocean ave, cookman, around casino and empress down to
cookman
So what's in "office" temp unit on the boardwalk at 3rd - it's not
pop-up retail?
