I seem to have been ahead of the circumstances here in Asbury Park which
clearly has a problem accepting competent help and information to bring it on
par with other communities that have used their heritage to economic benefit.
It is also a case of the local government feeling threatened and rejecting what
it does not understand. Ironic since the position of City Historian is within
the government. Shoot the messenger...? Or lacking that, torture him... jail
him..... etc.
