Let me preface this with I'm a Democrat - so I'm not someone who's  
politically inclined to defend Gov Christie. 

So with that said, if he  does have a target on the AP school system, 
hasn't the school system really  put the target there and doesn't it belong? If 
the school board had moved to  address any of the real issues associated with 
the schools over the past  say.... TEN YEARS... then the state wouldn't 
need to monitor the district and  our decisions would be in our hands. 

At this point, only autocratic  dictates are going to change anything - and 
no matter what the state does it's  got to be better than the whole lot of 
nothing that the board is willing to  do. Hell, they won't even show up for 
the vote! 

No offense to you  Garrett, from what I've seen you've been one of the few 
whose tried to do the  right thing for the right reason.
