That's typical......I ran a consulting business for years in NJ/Philly/NYC I can't begin to tell how many clients we walked out on because they thought they knew it all, only to close their doors months later
Funny you mentioned the lighting, that was the 2nd red flag I pointed out when I first walked in there Well hopefully the space gets a better more experienced tenant Sent from my Verizon Wireless BlackBerry -----Original Message----- From: "Hinge" <hing...@yahoo.com> Sender: AsburyPark@yahoogroups.com Date: Wed, 10 Aug 2011 14:23:55 To: <AsburyPark@yahoogroups.com> Reply-To: AsburyPark@yahoogroups.com Subject: [AsburyPark] Re: Asbury Blues ..... The owner didn't pay his rent, and then lied about it on Facebook. Claimed it was "code issues". He knew he was in trouble and didn't say a word to his employees and the loyal patrons of the club. He bought a crappy PA system from guitar center with a bad check. The bottom line in this case is the owner never ran a music venue before, and pretty much blew it. A year ago, I consulted with the owner about installing a sound system, and his response was pretty lame. Basically, he suggest that sound at a music venue wasn't all that important, and right from the start he scoffed at the idea of actually having a sound person on staff. His opinion was that bands could just bring in their own PA systems. He also ignored advice about lighting, and instead installed harsh track lights for the stage which pretty much blind musicians. --- In AsburyPark@yahoogroups.com, cbrianwatkins@... wrote: > > Anyone know the doors are closed?
