I think it's actually very likely this was an inside job too. Whether directly through MM or not. These panels were massive. So if they were all "stolen," were they sitting in a truck somewhere and the truck got stolen? Or was each panel taken one at a time? And where were they being stored, and under whose watch?
If these panels are gone for good, MM should be required to have them refabricated out of real copper. Not cheap green metal like the awful new carousel house roof. Check out the way Hoboken Terminal was restored and you'll see what I mean. Would like more information about this entire story go public. Where's the APP on this one?
