A Message from The City of Asbury Park

The City of Asbury Park Office of Emergency Management officials have
made Evacuation MANDATORY if you live in a low lying flood prone area. Please
make safe plans to evacuate as soon as possible.
Residential Flood Zone Areas:
1. Anyone living in proximity to a body of water
2. East of Grand Avenue
3. South of Springwood Avenue to Heck Avenue (City border - Neptune)
including Boston Way Village, AP Village, Avenue A, Borden Avenue
Shelter Information:
The Reception Center for transportation to Monmouth County Shelters is
located at the Thurgood Marshall School, 600 Monroe Avenue, Asbury Park -
Transportation will be provided from the Thurgood Marshall Center for those
stop at 10:00pm Sunday(now) and will resume Monday (tomorrow) at 6:00am. It
will be provided for as long as it is still safe to travel.

Red, call the Asbury Park Police Department at 732.502.4590 Emergency road
closures will take place as needed.
REMINDER: Authorities are predicting this to be a completely different
storm than Irene. We are urging residents and business owners to prepare
based on the Hurricane Sandy storm indicators & warnings; not on past
experience.
