... and welcome to the aseba-edu mailing list. As a reminder, this list
is about discussing educational questions and sharing experience related
to the Thymio/Aseba project, in particular VPL.
For the first post in this new mailing list, I would like to collect
your opinion on a question raised by Prof. Bernd Gärtner. The question
is whether, in the simple mode of VPL, there should not be only two
possible values per component for colours.
The pros of this idea is that it makes the simple mode even simpler and
avoids ambiguities when naming colours. If we allow only the two
possible extreme values, there would be 8 possible colours.
The cons is that it reduces the expressivity of the simple mode and
makes an element (the colour slider) behave differently (more
resolution) in advanced mode compared to simple mode.
If you have an opinion on this question, you are welcome to express it.
