You are welcome to join the development, anything from minor documentation
corrections and additions to massive patches would be great.

Yes, it is GPL compatible. It would also be compatible if you will modify
the source code to remove this limit and distribute a patch or a modified
version under GPL. The bad thing is some engines doesn't scale too well,
so you will need to rewrite the whole thing to have it indexed millions
of URLs. The good thing you don't have to, as we already developed ASPseek
:)

If the thing is under LGPL, you can even make a commercial version out
of it and sell it without releasing the sources :)
